Lane Stanford is in the closet because she's a judge and her father has big aspiration plans for her future. But she's not really so closeted because for her one night stands and brief flings she's Renee. And when she's Renee she's in full control and gets what she wants. Then her friends and her save a pretty woman from some nasty customers and cupid strikes Lane. Ali Castle has a dark history of her own, but she's never met anyone quite like Lane. How do they finally connect and what do each of them have to give up to make their possible relationship work and last.

This does not even come close to her other novel 'The Real Story' which I loved. If you're into self loathing and angst then I definitely recommend this book. The author decided to throw caltrops down for the last 20% of the book and says, sorry... you'll have no trouble walking through all that to the end. And sorry for the barbed wire you had to walk through all the mistrust, lack of communication, womanizing that I'm sure you just love to read about. So yea, if that's your gig then this is right up your alley.

A great romance with great characters and wonderful love scenes.

Judge Me Not gives the reader 326 pages of great characters, a deep love story, and some great scenes between the sheets. Lane Stanford has a demanding father who wants her to move beyond being a District Court Judge. Lane has been trying to follow her father's demands, even though they mean attending a lot of functions which take up much of her free time. She does have one event which feeds her spirit: a regularly scheduled dinner with close friends. It's during one of these dinners that she observes the men at the next table harassing their waitress. She asks the restaurant owner to switch waitresses, so her table gets Ali, the harassed waitress, and the men get a male waitor.
Lane has been with many women, but she's not prepared for Ali's deep blue eyes, great smile and great curves.
Layer has fully developed both Ali and Lane, and the reader is able to know the motivations and needs of each woman. This is an excellent read which had me turning the pages while I put any activities on the back burner which didn't involve reading!

A Great Read

I learned a lot thank you for sharing you personal experiences and I loved the poems. There was a point in my life where I carried all the pain from past relationships because of that nothing worked. I learned to love myself before I could love anyone else. Your book really helped me see it from a male perspective.

This book is fantastic! Mr McNutt is spot on with his empathetic style. The reader feels an immediate kinship with him. He pulls no punches with respect to owning your feelings and bevaviors. I highly recommend this book. It brought me rare peace after a recent heartbreak.
